The HOA Match Champion was Robert Vogel dominating all other competitors with a total score of 135.80. Robert posted the best score at eight of the ten stations! The Lady HOA Champion was Robin Boruta with an excellent score of 175.26. With this match she finds herself moving from Expert class to Master Class! Congratulations Robert and Robin!
This Shoot featured several popular stations staged from Movie scenes. The 'Clear and Present Danger' stage required shooters to fire through and around a vehicle at several different targets, as well as two targets fired at from the ground to the top of a building. Nearly every squad commented on how rarely they fire 'up' at targets in competition!
A replication of the elevator shooting scene from the 'DieHard' series was featured where multiple targets had to be engaged from a kneeling position on the lower level to a standing position in the upper level.
There was a stage named 'European Vacation' which featured a running man target and required multiple shooting positions. Shooters were required to activate the running man with a hit on a steel target. A vanishing target and the running man were then engaged in rapid succession. Only a few 'zeroed' the stage!
The stage named 'Honey, I'm home' required the shooter to immediately engage a vanishing target upon opening a door! Shooters were then required to engage multiple targets in a hall setting followed by engaging targets hiding behind 'soft cover'(a sofa)! Hopefully that sofa doesn't have to go back home on Monday!
A scene staged beginning at an ATM machine was my personal favorite. With a $5.00 fee, one will never know if the targets immediately engaged were supposed to be bad guys or bankers!
The targets, food and staff at this event made for a great shoot! Shoot Chairman Gary Cuttitta and staff had shoot results posted within 10 minutes of the last shot fired! Sunny skies and weather in the mid-60's made for a great shooting weekend in Michigan!
