2010 Missouri State IDPA Championship

5 /15-16/2010 In spite of threatening weather 96 shooters from 14 states competed for top honors at the Missouri State IDPA 2010 Championship over the weekend. The event is well respected within the IDPA shooting community. Held at Bench Rest Rifle Club, which is less than an hour west of St. Louis just off I-70, the club is a world class venue with excellent facilities. The stages Match Director Charles Parisi and his team of volunteers designed and built for the competition were challenging and innovative. In spite of less than ideal conditions the common refrain heard was "Good match, Great stages, I had a lot of fun!!!" The fact that this year's event attracted shooters from as far away as New York and Texas proves that Missouri's Bench Rest IDPA puts on a good event and should be considered when putting together your competitive shooting schedule for next year.

Competition was tight with several awards coming down to the final stage. Otis Lawrence topped Will Steffen by .05 (271.10 vs 271.15) for top honors in CDP EX division. Roxanne Hill was Top Lady Shooter and Thomas Euson with scores of 375.61 & 346.68 respectively. Division winners include Charles Parisi ESP (214.39), Matthew Mink SSP (196.27), & Roger Reid SSR (329.08).
