2009 USPSA Florida Section Championship

The 2009 USPSA Florida Section Championship had 109 competitors from all over Florida and the neighboring states vie for top honors in this, the 3rd anniversary of this annual Level III match. The club provided an excellent venue for the match which consisted of 8 stages (206 shots) whose targets tested the shooters in true IPSC fashion. The weather the day of the event was sunny and warm with temperatures in the mid 80’s and just enough breeze to offset the notorious Florida humidity. For the most part the match went smoothly with few delays and “Good Targets” was the consensus among the contestants.

Top honors in this year’s competition went to David Pruitt in the Open Division. Jonathan Bonham won the Florida Section Limited Division. Danny Clifton was the Top Single Stack shooter and Bruce Wallace took 1st place in Production.

Congratulations and a heartfelt “Thank You” goes to Match Director Ray Lambert who’s experience and tireless efforts were critical to the success of this event as well as Joel Dix and the clubs from St Augustine, Orlando, Central Florida, and Port Malabar who designed the stages for this year’s event.
